There are no restrictions (re: size or materiality) for a bi-national pier extending out into the Pacific Ocean from the westernmost edge of the proposed bi-national park. Submission deadline is April 15, 2021. See the Design Challenge page for more information.

The BUILT THAT PARK! Design Challenge consists of four distinct Design Phases
Phase 1 - International Pier (submission deadline April 15, 2021)
Phase 2 - Courtyard for Free Speech (submission deadline May 15, 2021)
Phase 3 - The Boardwalk (submission deadline June 15, 2021)
Phase 4 - The Historic Bullring (submission deadline July 15, 2021)
